Ryda nature reserve consists of a south-west-facing fault slope that juts out into lake Åsunden with natural forested coniferous forest where pine dominatesVia a mighty forest edge with coarse oaks, asps and birch, the landscape turns into an open meadow. Most of the area's red-listed and demanding species of mosses and lichens are attached precisely to oak and asp.
