Hägerstad Old Church

Hägerstad old church on lake Striern

Hägerstad's old church on lake Striern is built in grey stone. The oldest preserved parts are from the 13th century and the church was rebuilt in the 17th century. It fell into disrepair and was turned into ruin in 1895, but has been restored. Traces of limestone paintings by Matz Målare from Linköping. The parish warehouse from the 18th century remains at the old church.
