Sjöberga Vårdnäs

The ancient castle is a continuation of Stångdalen's system of castles.

Here at the northern end of Järnlunden, it has been an important shelter and defense castle. From the castle there is a nice view to the southwest over Järnlunden and northeast over Kåtebosjön.

On the mountain there are some rocks, pine, one, heather, some old dry pines, grass, white moss and a seating bench.
The mountain is 20 meters high, 45 meters above Järnlunden.
The ancient castle is about 150 x100 meters, with slopes in all directions. To the east a 15 meter long gate and an entrance road.

Up on the mountain there is a wall of 40 meters.
The walls are collapsed and are poorly visible.
