Kisa Wärdshus & hotel

Inn and hotel centrally located in Kisa. Dating back to the 17th century.

Kisa has been a travel centric town from the early 17th century. The Inn was already mentioned in 1644 as Kisa Krogh, and was at that time a royal stable, since the inland road between Stockholm and Kalmar castle passed by here. The hotel are located at Tingshustorget Square, which has been a market and gathering place since the 16th century.

Idyllic Kisa Wärdshus, consists of two properties located next to Kisaån and the historic Tingshustorget in the middle of Kisa. The properties comprises three buildings; Wärdshuset, Inn and Röda Stugan.

Kisa Wärdshus is considered to be Sweden's oldest inn, here since the 17th century inn has been run in the form of a hotel & restaurant. Today there are a total of 14 hotel rooms with about 20 beds plus extra beds, two party and conference halls. Choose between double room, single room or go to the honeymoon suite. The rooms are designed and to some extent preserved with royal ancess dating back to the 17th century

The Inn is the main building in the square. It has a restaurant where you can have breakfast. There is also a banquet hall, conference room, pub and an outdoor terrace.
