Boda nature reserve is a hilly mountain and steep area down to Lake Åsunden. Coniferous forest of a natural forest nature dominates and the element of rocky outcrops is large. In the slopes there is a large element of hardwood trees, mostly oak.
Some areas are of a noble leaf character, but there are also aspen-dominated parties. The forest has a pristine character and has few traces of forestry measures in recent times.
Some parts of the reserve still bear traces of former forest grazing.
