If you are considering a family trip with an overnight stay, Kinda is on the road between the zoo in Kolmården and Astrid Lindgrens home area Vimmerby. A perfect place to start from!

If you choose to live in Kisa, you can also experience a historical adventure. Our Emigrant Museum welcomes you into a bygone era when 1.5 million Swedes emigrated to North America. It was here in one of Kisa's oldest culture houses that people's journey to North America began, at pharmacist Sundius' emigration agency. Come and feel the historic perspective of people's dreams and life's destinies through exhibitions, sound installations and historical objects.

In the south of Kinda, you can live in Horn, except living in a community with warm hospitality, you will also find a beautiful beach with calm, leafy surroundings at Stångån. From Horn, it takes 30 minutes by car to Astrid Lindgren's home town.

If you live in Rimforsa instead, you are close to the beautiful lake Åsunden, which is part of the Stångån and Kinda canal water system. The community is also a stone's throw from the ancient rock cave Trollegater, where Kinda offers guided tours. Or you can easily get to the big city, bus and train go to Linköping in half an hour.
