1 General questions - regarding all courses

Do I have to book a hotel, and costs?
We will provide accomodation for you during the course, the accomodation is included in the fee.

What about meals?
Mainly at the place where the course is held, all meals will be pre-ordered and are included in the fee. Can we cater for vegetarians or people on special diets? We can meet a vide range of diet requirements, let us know in advance.

Will the course of my choice definitely run?
We have until now always had enough participants to run a course, but please contact us as soon as you have a grant confirmed. Do not buy your tickets until you have contacted us for confirmation that the course is running. If your course is cancelled we will offer you another course to attend.

Can my husband/wife travel with me for a holiday and stay with me?
The programme does not support a programme for relatives or friends unless they are also course participants. The course programme runs during day as well as most evenings in a pleasant and calm way but there is less time for other activities.

When and how do I pay?  
We can not handle payment by cash or card. We ask you to pay in advance of your arrival via a bank transfer. Please make sure you bring the bank receipt with you. All payment details will be e-mailed to you once you confirm with us that you will be attending the course.

2 Questions for the course in Sweden:

How do I get to the course in Sweden, Linköping/Rimforsa?
When you know for sure you will attend the course, detailed information will be sent to you so you can arrange the travelling.
The costs added to the flight depends on which airport you choose, the way you travel and how well in advance you book your tickets.
In short, Linköping airport is very close to the central station and therefor a good option to get to the venue. From Linköping central station there's local transport to the meetingpoint. You can also choose to fly to Stockholm airport Arlanda. You will find a variety of coach and train connections

Below some details which might be helpful when writing your application.

• To and from Linköping Airport (LPI) to the course venue:  60-70 euro (returntrip- by taxi and coach/train, in total 1,5h) www.ostgotatrafiken.se

Can I stay an extra night?
We recommend accomodation in Linköping www.visitlinkoping.se (press the English flag for english)
Close to the centralstation  is  hotel www.fawltytowers.se
If you want to stay after the course you might want to choose  www.lvh.se where we are staying the last nights at the course.

Where will we stay during the course?
First five nights in a beautiful sourounding close to lake, park and forest www.ostgotagarden.se
and the last nights in Linköping city at www.lvh.se

3 Questions for the course in Prague/Ovcin:

Accomodation and Course Venue:
We start and end the course in Prague. First five days will then be at the Ovcin Outdoor Centre (Charles University) in South Czech Republic close to Stráž nad Nežárkou. Closest towns are Jindrichuv Hradec and Trebon Photogallery  Last two night we are in the city of Prague

How will I go from Prague airport to the course place?
We will meet in Prague, you get there easily by taxi or by public transportation. Costs between 3 and 60 euro. Detailed information will be sent to confirmed participants befor the course.

To be able to book tickets, when does the course start and end?  
Meetingpoint will be in Prague city at 16.00. Lat night the course will be in Prague and finish at latest at 11.00 in the morning.

What does it cost to get from Prague to Straz?
We travel on Saturday together by coach, cost is included in the course fee.

What are the details of the Czech organizing institution?

4 Questions for the course in the Czech Pepublic - Olomouc/Slunakov:

How much is the ticket from Prague or Bratislava to Olomouc?
Costs between about 20 and 40 euro. At the train station in Olomouc we will pick you up in the afternoon and bring you to the Slunakov Environmental centre.

How do I get to the course venue in Olomouc?  
From Prague by mainly train costs between 17and 30 euro, takes about 3,5 hours.

From Bratislava bus or train to a costs of around 30 Euro. takes about 4 hours. Please check with a travelagency to be sure of updated possibilities.Detailed information where and how to meet will be sent to confirmed participants by email.From Prague airport -"Praha Ruzyne" to Olomouc by Train: The quickest train is the PENDOLINO. The train runs several times a day, it is the fastest way to get the city Olomouc. You need a reservation for this train. The service of this train includes Bus AIRPORT EXPRESS. This bus takes you from the Airport to Train station names Praha-Holešovice. You can get more information (In Czech language) on the web page: www.pendolino.cz

Where will we be during the course?  
We will stay and run the course in the region Olomouc and the the Slunakov Ecological Centre Pictures - Slunakov Ecological Centre: www.slunakov.cz/eng/

5 Questions for the course in Scotland - Glasgow/Helensbourgh:

How do I get to Scottish course venue?
You can travel by train, get in touch with your local office for train tickets for best option and connection. By visiting www.db.de you can get a good picture of connection possibilities.

If you decide to fly, there are 3 airports that we recommend. The nearest airport is Glasgow International. A second is Glasgow Prestwick airport with an onward connection to Glasgow city centre by either, train or bus. The third is Edinburgh Turnhouse airport with an onward connection to Glasgow by either plane, train or bus. Schedules and transfers should be checked with your travel agent when booking your flights.

Alternative 1 - From Airport Glasgow International
The nearest mainline train station to Glasgow International airport is in Glasgow City centre.
A bus connection runs from the airport to the City centre on a regular timetable.
The nearest train station to the venue is Helensburgh Central. A frequent train service runs from Glasgow Queen St to Helensburgh. Journey time is approx 45 mins.
The cost of the train journey from Glasgow is about £10.00 single
The last part of the journey is from Helensburgh to the venue by taxi, a cost of approximately £8.00. Journey time is approx 10 mins.

Alternative 2 - From Airport Glasgow International
From Glasgow International to the venue by taxi, it will cost around 30- 40 pounds for one taxi. http://www.glasgowtaxis.co.uk/
